Our club provides competitive and social netball opportunities for all participants who want to play, umpire or coach, and welcome all ages and levels of experience and ability.
Our club values friendship, community spirit, teamwork and respect to all members – from our volunteers to our umpires and parents.
Our Volunteers and Life Members are active and engaged members in our organisation, and we are grateful for their outstanding contributions to the development of netball with us. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do what we do!
Greenlees Netball Club was founded in 1980, by members of Concord United Netball. Greenlees gets its name from Greenlees Park in Concord, where Concord United used to train, and the first meeting was held to establish the club.
In the 40 years since, Greenlees has gone on to become an integral part of the Concord community. Our players have represented Inner West at both Junior and Senior level, as have a number of our coaches and umpires. We have a long list of life members, many of whom are still heavily involved with the club. Greenlees has won multiple awards over the years for outstanding results and contributions to Inner West.
As we enter our fourth decade as a club, we look forward to introducing more people to the wonderful sport of netball.
Ken has been a member of Greenlees for more than 25 years, starting as a coach and umpire. Ken has held the position of President of over 10 years and loves being part of the Greenlees netball family.
Ken is also a life member of both Greenlees and Inner West.
Amy joined Greenlees in 1996 as a Mini Magpie. She played for the club for a number of years, but has since retired to focus on coaching. Amy became Secretary in 2017. She is a proud life member of Greenlees.
Allayne has been part of our executive for more than 20 years and is currently our Registrar and Coaching Co-ordinator. Keen to pass on her knowledge and experience, she most enjoys teaching our players, coaches and umpires. Allayne is also a life member of both Greenlees and Inner West.
Donna joined the club with her daughters a number of years ago, and immediately put her hand up to volunteer. While her official title is Treasurer, she has also helped manage teams, umpires and most importantly the BBQ.
A mum to 3 netballers, Jes has been around the club since 2012. In 2016 she took on the monumental task of Uniform Coordinator. Jes works tirelessly to ensure the best quality, fit and range for all our players.
